Built from white stone, its restrained yet dignified form exudes purity and strength, harmonizing with the natural landscape of Tavush. The carefully balanced proportions and unembellished surfaces emphasize the timeless spiritual presence of the structure, making it a serene place for worship and contemplation.

Despite its modest scale, Saint John the Baptist Church serves as a vital spiritual and communal center for Berd, standing as a testament to the enduring strength of faith in Armenia’s borderlands.
