Nestled within a serene park in Yerevan’s Nubarashen district, this Armenian church harmoniously blends spiritual presence with the natural landscape. Completed in 2015, the 20-meter-tall structure is built from locally sourced red tuff, emphasizing a deep connection to Armenian architectural heritage. The church was constructed to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, with recurring motifs of doves, candles, and crosses symbolizing peace, remembrance, and faith.
Spanning 165 sqm, the church’s exterior is adorned with intricate rhythmic carvings, characteristic of traditional Armenian ornamentation. The carefully proportioned façade, accentuated by refined stone detailing, creates a sense of harmony and permanence. Expansive yet balanced volumes define the sacred interior, where natural light filters through delicately placed openings, enhancing the spiritual ambiance.
Commissioned in 2012, the church is a realized vision of timeless Armenian architecture, thoughtfully integrated into its park setting to offer a space of reflection, tranquility, and cultural continuity.
